The news of former Denver Broncos<\/a><\/strong> wide receiver Demaryius Thomas’ sudden death shook everyone on Friday as news emerged that he was found dead in his Roswell, GA apartment on Thursday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPreliminary information is that his death stems from a medical issue, and our investigators currently have no reason to believe otherwise,\u201d Officer Tim Lupo, pubic information officer for the Roswell police department told reporters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Demaryius Thomas’ cousin, LaTonya Bonseigneur, told the AP that the family believes the medical issue was a seizure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe had been suffering from seizures for over a year, and we believe he had a seizure when he was showering. He was alone and a friend couldn\u2019t get hold of him, so he called his driver, who has a key because of these seizures, and he went into his home and found him in the shower.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Broncos are set to pay tribute to Thomas on Sunday. Beginning at 10 a.m. MT, there will be a memorial on the south side of the stadium in Ring of Fame Plaza where fans can stop by and pay their respects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Broncos will also play a tribute video and hold a moment of silence before the national anthem prior to kickoff. There will be a No. 88 logo painted on the field on the Broncos’ sideline, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There’s still 10 players on this team that played with him,” Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said. “A bunch of coaches that coached him, including [Running Backs Coach] Curtis Modkins, who recruited him to Georgia Tech and was one of his college coaches besides being on the staff here in 2018 with him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have over 40 workers in the organization and the support staff that were around him,” Fangio continued. “Just seeing and feeling their reaction and hurt just tells you what a special player D.T. was. I never had the opportunity to meet him, but [him being] a special player and a special person is obvious by their responses.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By that standard \u2014\u00a0and any other \u2014\u00a0Demaryius Thomas was a hell of a guy.
