Just a few days later as training camp continued to ramp up,  Williams suffered knee injury that will end her season before it got started. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Williams will undergo surgery, and at this time, there is no timeline for her return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are heartbroken for Christyn and will miss her greatly. She was off to a terrific start in training camp, and I know she will work diligently to make a comeback next season,\u201d said General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault. \u201cShe will have our full support and all of our resources during her rehab. She can create her own shot and get good shots for her teammates. She can also defend all three perimeter positions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Williams (5-11) averaged 14.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 33 games played her senior season at UConn.
