The Washington Wizards will introduce a new\u00a0cherry\u00a0blossom-themed basketball court to go along the team\u2019s new City Edition\u00a0Cherry\u00a0Blossom\u00a0uniforms. The new\u00a0cherry\u00a0blossom\u00a0court will be used on nights the team\u2019s City Edition\u00a0jerseys\u00a0will be worn and will debut tonight when the Wizards host the Dallas Mavericks at Capital One Arena at 7:00 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court was designed to complement the uniform by connecting elements of the uniform\u2019s tidal basin blue along the perimeter of the court with pink\u00a0cherry\u00a0blossoms\u00a0throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The design on the court features a subtle nod to cherry blossom petals falling from a cherry tree along center court, with the stained blossoms giving a light and airy appearance. The Wizards\u2019 center logo has been integrated in the design to display as sprouted blossoms that have bloomed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Washington\u2019s Cherry Blossom jersey will be available for purchase beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, at the Team Store. To celebrate the city\u2019s iconic trees and the launch of the Wizards\u2019 Cherry Blossom inspired 2022-23 City Edition jerseys, fans can receive a free Cherry Coke<\/strong> or Cherry Coke Zero<\/strong> while supplies last at the Team Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Wizards will celebrate Japanese Heritage Night on December 12th<\/sup>\u00a0and the first 7,500 fans will take home a City Edition\u00a0Cherry\u00a0Blossom-inspired tote bag. On March 24th<\/sup>\u00a0when the Wizards face the San Antonio Spurs, the team will hold\u00a0Cherry\u00a0Blossom\u00a0Night.
