It marked the team\u2019s second straight home victory and their second win in their last three outings, but more importantly, it showed what this roster looks like when <a href=\"https:\/\/dbltakesports.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/19\/wizards-hope-players-only-meeting-ignites-season\/\" title=\"\">effort, discipline, and depth<\/a> all click at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keefe Praises Coulibaly\u2019s Defensive Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head Coach Brian Keefe emphasized postgame that the team\u2019s late-game toughness came directly from the defensive intensity they were able to sustain down the stretch, a tone he credited to Bilal Coulibaly.\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSometimes you have to grind games out in the NBA. He posted a team-high 28 points, added five assists, and knocked down multiple threes for the 10th time in his last 11 outings.\u2028McCollum&#8217;s last three-pointer was the game winning shot to seal the Wizards victory over he Bucks. <br><br>Khris Middleton also delivered another efficient and timely performance. He finished with 15 points, six assists, four rebounds and a steal, and was one of the key catalysts late, making smart reads, moving the ball, and helping Washington maintain composure through Milwaukee\u2019s final push.\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their combined experience gave Washington steady scoring options in the halfcourt while younger players filled in the energy and pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bagley on Finishing Games: \u201cEvery Possession Matters\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marvin Bagley III started for the second time this season and produced one of his best outings as a Wizard: 22 points (11-16 FG), eight rebounds and seven offensive boards \u2014 his highest scoring game since 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked by Double Take Sports about the team\u2019s recent uptick in late-game execution, something players have emphasized over the past few months, Bagley pointed to discipline and collective focus:\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cStaying locked in\u2026 every possession matters. And we did a great job of being locked into every possession, doing what we are capable of doing. If we stay locked into that in crunch time, we\u2019ll give ourselves a chance every night.\u201d\u2028<br><br>The Wizards have now won back-to-back home games, and Bagley\u2019s emphasis on focus reflects a trend Washington has been trying to build, especially with a road game immediately following this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-9-16 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Marvin Bagley III on the Wizards Late-Game Improvement\" width=\"563\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7VR3A9DHAnc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bench Mob Steps Up: Whitmore, Vukcevic, Champagnie Deliver<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Washington\u2019s bench outscored Milwaukee 48\u201334, and several reserves delivered some of their strongest performances of the season:\u2028<br><br><strong>Cam Whitmore:<\/strong> 17 points (8-14 FG), five rebounds and a steal \u2014 his second 15\/5 game of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tristan Vukcevic:<\/strong> Season-high 16 points, two assists, two rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes, including 11 first-half points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Justin Champagnie:<\/strong> 10 points, eight rebounds (six offensive), two assists, two blocks and a steal \u2014 his second 10\/5 game of the year and his fifth straight outing with at least one steal.\u2028<br><br>Their collective production allowed Washington to sustain pace, win the paint battle 58\u201334, and keep Milwaukee from controlling the glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the Wizards will look to sustain their winning ways.
