Addi Mack Erupts as Maryland Tops Georgetown

The Terrapins flipped the switch when it mattered most. After trailing through much of the first three quarters, Maryland surged past Georgetown 85–66 at the Xfinity Center, powered by freshman guard Addi Mack who had a dominant fourth-quarter finish.

Mack poured in 23 points total, 17 of which came after halftime, leading Maryland’s 34-9 quarter and turning what looked like an uphill battle into a statement victory.

Maryland battled turnovers and sluggish shooting earlier in the game, but when the situation tightened, the pieces came together. The Terps cleaned up their defense and hit their stride on offense in the final period, overwhelming the Hoyas.

Georgetown was paced by Khia Miller with 18 points and Khadee Hession with 14, but Maryland’s late-game surge left the visitors with no answer

For Maryland, this win improves their record to 3-0 and gives them momentum heading into their next matchup.
