Howard earned a 62–60 victory over George Washington on Nov. 11 at the Charles E. Smith Center, improving to 3–0 behind a balanced effort led by seniors Zennia Thomas and Nile Miller.

The Bison established control early, taking a 22–18 lead after the first quarter and carrying a 38–33 advantage into halftime. Howard continued to hold the edge through three quarters, leading 55–49 entering the fourth.

Thomas led the Bison with 15 points on 5–of-6 shooting while adding seven rebounds. Miller finished with 11 points, six rebounds, and three blocks. Howard struggled from the perimeter, hitting just 2 of 16 from three-point range, but the Bison created separation through their trips to the free-throw line, where they attempted 26 free throws.

George Washington was led by Gabby Reynolds with 15 points and Jaeda Wilson with 13. The Revolutionaries outscored Howard 11–7 in the fourth quarter but were unable to overcome their deficit from earlier in the game. Turnovers played a role as well, GW committed 19 compared to Howard’s 11.

This marks the Bison’s third straight win to open the season, while George Washington moves to 1–2.
