The Baltimore Ravens didn’t just unveil new uniforms on Thursday night, they revealed a visual signal of where the franchise is headed next.
Introduced during the team’s second annual Flock Forum at Merriweather Post Pavilion, “The Next Flight” collection marks the organization’s most significant uniform change since 1999. But the message behind it wasn’t about starting over. It was about evolving something that already works.
That timing matters.
With Jesse Minter stepping in as head coach, alongside coordinators Declan Doyle, Anthony Weaver, and Anthony Levine Sr., the Ravens are entering a new phase on the field. The updated uniforms reflect that shift, still rooted in what has defined the organization for nearly three decades.
Levine understands that standard as a former Raven who now steps into the role of special teams coordinator.
“We’re going to play violent, we’re going to play fast…we’re going to play Ravens football,” Levine said during the event, pointing to a renewed emphasis on what it means to “Play Like a Raven.” That edge felt less consistent last season under John Harbaugh.
Baltimore has a standard, and in the eyes of those who helped build it, there is an expectation that comes with wearing a Ravens uniform.
“The standard is the standard…these youngins have to understand that. A lot of us gave blood for these colors, for the purple and black, for the city, for these fans,” franchise legend Terrell Suggs said, reinforcing the weight behind what the current group now carries.

The rollout itself created a balance between past and present. Hosted by Peter Schrager, the event featured appearances from other Ravens legends such as Jamal Lewis, alongside current players modeling the new uniforms, including one of the team’s newest additions, Trey Hendrickson.

Same identity. Just elevated.#RavensFlock #NFL pic.twitter.com/W3LVJIroZS
The development process of the uniforms began in 2023 as a collaboration between the Ravens, Nike, and the NFL. The goal wasn’t to reinvent the look, but to elevate it. That shows up in the details: a color-shifting “midnight purple” inspired by raven feathers, wing-patterned collars that nod to the franchise’s original identity, and subtle feather and talon elements woven throughout the uniforms. The addition of “Baltimore” across select jerseys strengthens the connection to the city without straying from the team’s core identity.
The updates extend to the helmets as well, highlighted by the all-black “Darkness” alternate featuring matte finishes, talon striping, and a two-toned Ravens logo. Like the rest of the collection, it leans into what the Ravens already represent: physicality, edge, and presence.
Uniform reveals across the league can often feel like a reset. However, the “Next Flight” felt like a celebration of legacy and the start of getting back to the identity that makes the Ravens one of the best franchises in the NFL.
