Sepp Straka Wins Fourth PGA TOUR Title at Truist Championship

Sepp Straka delivered a poised and consistent performance to capture his fourth PGA TOUR title at the 2025 Truist Championship, finishing 16-under par at the historic Philadelphia Cricket Club. With rounds of 63-67-66-68, Straka edged out Justin Thomas and Shane Lowry by two strokes in a tightly contested leaderboard.

At 32 years old, Straka’s win marks his second of the season—joining Rory McIlroy as the only multiple winners on TOUR in 2025. He now moves to No. 2 in the FedExCup standings, collecting 700 points and solidifying his rise toward the top tier of the game.

This victory continues Sepp Straka’s strong showing in Signature Events this season, with five top-15 finishes in the first six. He also successfully converted his second 54-hole lead of the year, thanks in large part to an exceptional week with the putter, finishing second in the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (8.660), despite being ranked 63rd in that category entering the week.

“I felt like I did a really good job today of just taking every shot for what it is,” Straka said. “I looked at the leaderboards, but I didn’t really pay too much attention. I knew if I executed, I’d have a chance.”

Shane Lowry, who held a share of the 54-hole lead with Straka, faltered late with bogeys on holes 16 and 18, finishing in a tie for second at 14-under. The performance marked Lowry’s fourth top-10 finish of the year and second runner-up, both coming in Signature Events.

Justin Thomas also tied for second, marking his TOUR-leading third runner-up finish of 2025. He has yet to break through for a win this season but remains in sharp form heading into the summer stretch.

Other top finishers included Patrick Cantlay, Tommy Fleetwood, and second-year pro Jacob Bridgeman, who all tied for fourth at 12-under.

Straka is now projected to enter the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time in his career—a fitting reward for a player who continues to trend upward with each start.
